SNCR or Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction Selective non-catalytic reduction is a method to reduce NOx without using a catalyst in the temperature range of 850 to 1100°C. The most commonly used drugs are ammonia and urea. In general, SNCR denitrification efficiency can reach 25% to 40% for large coal-fired units and up to 80% for small units.
